2024 LISC Financial Opportunity Center® National Convening Breakout Session Proposal Form

We are excited to announce a call for abstracts for the upcoming 2024 LISC Financial Opportunity Center® National Convening.

As we come together to share ideas and strategies towards economic opportunity and security, we recognize the importance of resilience and inclusivity. This year's convening theme is “Resilient People, Resilient Communities.” The theme of the convening underscores the importance of resilience in both individuals and communities, especially in light of the challenges and uncertainties we have faced in recent times. We believe it is more important than ever to come together as a community and explore opportunities in our current systems to advance equity and build solidarity in fostering resilience against social and economic challenges.

Resilience is the core of this year’s theme. Whether it is financial resilience, resilience in the face of climate change or resilient careers, our sessions will explore how resilience shows up in our programs, initiatives, and, most importantly, our communities. We are excited for the opportunity to offer partner-generated topics that share best practice, promising approaches and new insight into our shared work. Within the broad theme, we welcome proposals that incorporate program priorities such as career pathways, asset building, financial health, digital equity and skilling and much more.

We invite you to submit your proposals for a breakout session that addresses any of the FOC core services or a combination thereof. Your proposal should create opportunities for the audience to learn, engage, and discuss with one another, whether you have research to share, successful case studies to present, or innovative ideas to explore, we welcome your unique perspectives and experiences and encourage proposals from individuals and organizations across the FOC network.

Please feel free to reach out to our team with any questions at FOCinfo@lisc.org
