Welcome to LISC’s Financial Opportunity Center® Financial Coaching training registration page. You can only register for one of the following in-person Financial Coaching Training offerings.  Please make sure you have supervisor approval before registering. Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email. 

Training Overview:  LISC’s Financial Coaching training engages participants in powerful discussions on financial coaching methods and best practices. The training is based on an experiential learning model that puts coaching as the primary focus, using the financial tools as a way of developing the coaching technique. At the end of the training participants will gain new tools for effectively engaging clients in coaching to help them achieve their goals!  Participants will be required to attend all four scheduled days of training. Different employees “subbing” in for a participant after the first day of the training is not allowable.  The training curriculum that will be used is from The Prosperity Agenda and certificates of completion will be provided. 

Intended audience: This training is designed specifically for team members who need introductory financial coaching training and are already working one-on-one with clients from diverse communities as a financial coach. The training includes ample and continuous coaching practice of methods, approaches and tools that address client financial situations. (To be clear this training focuses on tools for coaching and not financial concepts).

Training Schedule:  8:30am-4:00pm each day. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Each training opportunity consists of 4 full days split into two different parts. This will require participants to travel to the training location on two separate occasions. 

The 2024 training locations and dates are listed below.  NOTE: You will be required to select one of the following training locations/dates from the list at the end of this registration form.  Participants approved for the training will receive a "Welcome" email from the trainer two weeks prior to the first day of training with more information, including the exact address of the training location.

• Hartford, CT - September 17-18 AND October 8-9

There is no registration fee for this training. However, participants will be responsible for paying for and arranging their own travel and lodging, as well as any meals other than the breakfast and lunch provided during the training.
